Top 5 - 3 June 2026
My top picks from the past week
Note: We’ll be in Rarotonga for the next 3 weeks, with limited wifi, so I’m not sure what I’ll be able to research over that time. We’ll see;).
FYI: on this “birthday” weekend I would like you all to know that KC is not my king. In my opinion, never has such a weak man been on the throne.
Top 5
1. Good to see Mark back on RCR talking some sense. As much as I love Ivor Cummins, his insistence on not dealing with the fundamental lies of virology research and what they have uncovered and what they have not, in my mind, fails to recognise the linchpin that the whole stack of cards of virology would come tumbling down on.
2. Good to see Erin Brockovitch lending her voice to the data centre expansion problem:

3. Digital ID. A convenience or a cage?
4. I often get the retort but we are all individual aren’t we? So we shouldn’t all be eating the same thing, should we? I loved Anthony’s response in here - paraphrasing: Well all lions are different too but they all still eat meat.
5. I’ve always enjoyed Marc Morano. It’s a pity that Trump’s name is associated with the Great Reject as many will reject anything Trump says just because he says it. I count myself in those rejections for some things Trump does and is doing but on climate he has supported scientists that are on the ball. He may of course have other reasons for doing that, given his drive for energy hungry data centres.
Short Shareables
1. Is our court system corrupted beyond repair? I would have loved to see this case be used to highlight the truth of the Littlewood Final English version of the Treaty of Waitangi. Not to brush the whole thing under the carpet as has happened. Let's lift that carpet and get rid of the dust permanently so it can’t get in people’s eyes ever again.
2. Deaths in the elderly are easy to sweep under the carpet. Deaths in the young not so easy.

3. Katie from VFF getting real about the FTA with India.

4. The world would be a different place if the majority of us were like Barry.

5. If you look into AR6 you’ll see that RCP 8.5 was already being called implausible in the main body of it but the summary for policy makers said otherwise. Finally in AR7 this will be corrected. While that has a few years to come to fruition, some say 2029!, it’s up to us to make everyone aware of it. Particularly the misinformed Net Zero zealots in our governments.
Actionables
We saw a very rapid response to the Homeschooling Bill last week. Wouldn’t it be lovely if all conscious change was that fast;)?
1. Sign the open letter to keep our professions out of politics.

2. Support NZ First’s Bill. Let’s not go down the Australian track that grind women’s rights into the dirt.

Always remember to laugh. They want to shut down our joy. We cannot allow them to do that.
